History

As more and more businesses realize the need for management to focus on core competencies, all non-revenue producing, non-core areas of the business become candidates for outsourcing. These outsourcing arrangements were started during the 1970’s by such giants as EDS, Arthur Andersen LLP, ADP and others. Today, outsourcing is a $200 billion per year industry, and according to recent research, this amount should double by 2002.

It is to meet this expanding outsourcing need, specifically in the area of accounting, that Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. was formed by long lasting friends Antonio F. Sécola Biascoechea, CPA,CMA,CFM and Armando Rodríguez Benítez, MBA. Our service model and proprietary product, AlChavo, was designed from actual real world experience. Here is the story…

A year ago, Armando was burdened with administrative tasks, handling day-to-day functions for 10 new and diverse growing businesses. Clearly, he couldn’t focus on their long-term goals and strategies. During the same period, Antonio was planning to leave his managerial position at Arthur Andersen LLP to provide full accounting functions for growing small to mid-size businesses. The timing couldn’t have been better. By combining Armando’s business knowledge and on-hand understanding of his actual back office needs with Antonio’s real exposure to a wide variety of different clients, industries, accounting systems, and internal control structures, the perfect synergy was born, and the most effective and efficient model to handle all back office needs for small to mid-size businesses, AlChavo, was created. In only a couple of months all of Armando’s back office needs were organized and he now focuses his valuable time in growing and expanding his businesses.

Outsourcing Solutions Inc. is a privately held corporation operating from its headquarters in Gurabo, Puerto Rico since 1999, and its the sole owner of AlChavo. Plans are to offer our on-line services through cellular phones and electronic organizers within one year. Strategic growth to export our services is foreseen through alliances with foreign CPA and accounting firms.
